My neighbor recommended a friend who has been working with essences for over 30 years. Her name is Rebecca Hunter and her step-father created Bailey’s essences, so she gained first hand experience with creating flower essences.
So what do flower essences do?
Flower essences promote well-being, wholeness and acceptance of living in the present moment. More specifically, they help to release pent up emotions that may otherwise cause damage in our lives.
How are they made?
Flower essences are very dilute extracts of plants, often the flowers. The vibration of the plant is held in the memory of the water and preserved in alcohol, such as vodka. Plants have different vibrational energies that connect with humans and animals. The energy from the plant is held in the flower essence. Flower Essences can also be made from crystals, earth vibrations and in fact any vibration that exists.
Why are they helpful?
Most of our illnesses relate to our way of living and our attitudes to life and the world around us. Diet and environment do have a major influence on health but so do our mental attitudes. For many people, mental attitudes are the key factors which affect their health.
Fears and tensions can lock up muscles, distort the skeleton, depress the immune system, affect all the endocrine secretions, and therefore compromise our health. On the other hand, if we are relaxed and coping easily with the stresses of life, then our health will benefit accordingly.
How do they work?
To understand how flower essences work requires an understanding that the human being is more than a physical body, but also incorporates a "body" of life energy, a "body" of sensitivity and feelings, and a spiritual essence or Self. Flower essences are energetic imprints of the life force of plants, which interact with these subtle bodies of the human being, and evoke specific qualities within us. They work in a similar way to inspirational music or art, which carry meaning through the vehicle of sound or light, while the flower essences work through the medium of water.
Modern physics has known for nearly a century that matter and consciousness are intertwined. However, medical science still generally works with a nineteenth century model of the human being as a mechanism in a world of machines. But it is slowly becoming more mainstream to research the impact of consciousness on health.
How Flower Essences Worked for Me
I made an appointment with Rebecca when my three year old Shepherd cross, Benjamin, was getting aggressive, as animals respond very well to flower essences. She asked me to send a photograph of Benjamin so she could use it to dowse for the appropriate remedies. Dowsing is a type of divination employed in attempts to locate ground water, buried metals or ores, gemstones, oil, gravesites, and many other objects and materials without the use of scientific apparatus.
Later that day we met to review her findings. She found 7 essences that would be helpful and instructed me to give them to Benjamin three times a day. As soon as I got home I gave him three drops in water and noticed an immediate change. He got this goofy crooked smile on his face and became totally relaxed. He is now very calm and not challenging those around him.
So when I saw these positive results with the dog I wanted to try them on myself. I called Rebecca again and enjoyed a beautiful session with her. The most remarkable essences I got were an Egyptian essence called Crown of Confidence and Buttercup. Crown of Confidence helps open up the crown chakra to let the energy flow to connect to spirit. Buttercup helps release bitterness and distrust towards people. In short, it helps let the sunshine in.
I am feeling great. I really do feel a very subtle yet powerful shift within. Exploring alternate health options is a fascinating journey. I look forward to discovering more about flower essences and implementing them into our family well-being.
